Android is the operating system of various mobile and tablet devices. Manufactured under many different brands and model names, these devices are distributed by various companies. Prices, technical specifications, version numbers/names and other such details vary widely.
This article documents versions of the WolfQuest app on this operating system where available.
Future content
This article contains information about future plans. As is the nature of development, information here may be incomplete and could become inaccurate over time. The WolfQuest Wiki is not a crystal ball and any new information provided in this article must be sourced. |

Legacy versions of WolfQuest never received a mobile port.
Pricing[]
Not yet available on mobile and tablet platforms. Pricing remains unknown.
The Classic app itself was freely available to download as a Free Trial. This costs nothing and features the first level of the game to play and has basic wolf customizations unlocked from the start. If the player liked the game, they could choose to purchase the complete game to unlock the second level of the game featuring pups, multiplayer and an additional all-new map to own the full game, thereby giving them more to do.
In-App Purchases[]
In-App Purchases, commonly abbreviated to IAP, is a pay-to-play model used to distribute optional extra features. What's available varies depending on the game being played and its platform, ranging from purely cosmetic/aesthetic content (offering no in-game benefits other than vanity) up to larger projects such as maps and expansions. Revenue earned from these sales helps to fund the game for continued development.[2]

Classic utilises in-app purchases to distribute optional extras within its integrated Shop panel on the Main Menu. Refer to the main article for further details and information!
On the 28th of December 2014, Dave confirmed that 2.7 would feature in-app purchases.[3] This is a logical decision due to the team having used their own resources to fund the game post-Legacy development.
As of July 6th 2023, transactions for Classic in-app purchases were taken offline following the end of life announcement. New transactions in the Shop interface can no longer be made, however users who have previously made in-app transactions before this date may still be able to restore previous purchases.

The Classic app reached its end-of-life on July 6th 2023. A notice was published by loboLoco on the Official WolfQuest Discord server via the #announcements
channel. A transcript of the message for on-site archival:
“ | End of Life for WolfQuest 2.7 for Android Due to new technical requirements by Google, WolfQuest for Android has reached its end of life and has been removed from the Google Play Store, and multiplayer is now disabled. The single-player game will continue to work for players who have already downloaded it and purchased in-app products, and they'll be able to download it again if necessary (with the same Google account.) For the time being, WQ 2.7 on iOS is still available and both single-player and multiplayer are still functional, as is the Mac/Windows version. We apologize for these changes, but technology marches on and with code dating back to 2007, it's no longer possible to keep the Android app updated. |

The Classic app may not be supported on devices released since 2012[4] and devices with small screens (such as smartphones) may not be officially supported.
