For the category, see Category:NPCs.

NPC means non-playable character and refers to any entity controlled by the computer via artificial intelligence. In WolfQuest, besides the player, all animals encountered are controlled by the computer -- it is not possible to control any animal other than a wolf due to the titular species being the game's main focus.

  • Wolf pups were genderless prior to the 2.7 update. Pup sexes are now randomized either as male or female.
  • Most prey and predators, including Grizzlies, coyotes and hare, were guaranteed to spawn as males. No females would spawn or were ever encountered. This has been corrected since the initial release of the paid game.
